What is this game?
Letter Mission is an original word-building game played from a ribbon of available letters and one clearly marked key letter. Letters may repeat, every word must contain the key letter, and reviewed definitions appear only for words you find. Today’s accepted-answer set stays private on the server.
How to play
- 1Choose Australian, British, or US English before you begin.
- 2Tap ribbon letters or type to build a word of at least four letters.
- 3Include the separate key letter and use only the available letters; letters may repeat.
- 4Submit reviewed words, read their definitions, and finish all three daily missions.
Rules
- Every word has at least four letters and must include the visible key letter.
- Words may reuse letters, but cannot introduce letters outside the ribbon and key tile.
- Proper nouns and abbreviations are excluded from accepted answers.
- An all-letter word uses every available letter at least once; each puzzle has at least one.
Scoring
- Four-letter words earn 10 points, five earn 20, six earn 35, seven earn 50, and longer words earn 65.
- An all-letter word earns a 100-point bonus.
- Completing a mission adds the mission points shown on its progress panel.
- Daily completion means finishing all three missions; finding every accepted word is a separate full completion.
Tips and strategy
- Start with the key letter and add familiar prefixes or endings around it.
- Shuffle the non-key ribbon when the current order starts to feel fixed.
- Try repeating a useful vowel or consonant; each tile can be used more than once.
- Use mission nudges to change strategy without revealing an answer.
Daily missions
Complete the day, then keep exploring
Each daily puzzle has three feasible, locale-specific missions. Completing all three secures the daily result, but the letter controls stay open so you can continue towards the separate full completion.
All-letter words
Use every available letter
Every puzzle includes at least one reviewed word that uses all seven or eight available letters. Letters may repeat, and the key letter still has to appear. These discoveries receive a visible label and bonus.
English locales
Start with Australian English
Australian English is the default. British and US English are also supported, with progress kept separate for each locale so one spelling list never overwrites another.
