This page lists only external word-data sources that have a recorded production approval and a public attribution record.

A listing records provenance and permitted use in PlayNib. It does not imply that a source provider endorses PlayNib, or that PlayNib endorses a source beyond the reviewed use described here.

English Speller Database

Letter Mission candidate words and English locale metadata are derived from the English Speller Database by Kevin Atkinson. Australian English information includes work by Benjamin Titze. WordNet was used upstream for initial part-of-speech assignment. PlayNib excludes separately tagged COCA, LLM-assisted, proper-name, town, UKACD, and hacker-list records. No endorsement is implied.
