How to play Packing Chain
- Choose solo or two to four cooperative players. Everyone watches the first item; use the labelled tray instead of typing.
- Repeat the list in order and check it. After a correct answer, add any item. Repeated items, such as two books, are allowed.
- In solo play, study the longer list before recalling it. With multiple players, everyone watches the addition, then passes the device behind a handoff screen; the next player recalls without another study view.
- Work together towards a goal of four, six, eight, or ten items. A different order reveals the list and ends the session; replay is unlimited.
What the result means
Remember the items and their order in one growing packing list, with optional cooperative turns.
The longest sequence repeated describes only this session and its settings. It does not assess health, intelligence, or everyday memory, or establish improvements outside the game.
Accessibility
- All study and response steps are untimed, with large labelled touch and keyboard buttons.
- Symbols use shapes and text rather than colour alone. No sound, microphone, or camera is required.
- Study changes happen only when you choose. Reduced-motion preferences remove button transitions.
Packing Chain FAQ
How do turns work?
Players use numbers, not names. Player 1 recalls and adds an item, then passes to Player 2. Turns rotate through two to four players; everyone shares one result.
Does the tray give away the answer?
No. The same eight choices stay in the same positions throughout play. They do not indicate which items were packed or the order.
Can we pack the same item again?
Yes. An apple followed by a book and another apple is valid. There is no spelling test or free-text input.
Are local group results saved as solo bests?
No. Only solo results can update this device’s optional solo best. Local group sessions do not create individual rankings.
